Rajasthan: The central government approved the ambitious road project between Nagaur-Jodhpur to upgrade the 87.63 km long road into four lanes at a cost of Rs 787.33 crore.

Rajasthan: Road connectivity between Jodhpur and Nagaur will be further improved. Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has approved a project. Under the project, 87.63 km long road will be upgraded to four lanes.

Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat thanked Prime Minister Modi and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari for approving the project. Let us tell you that the central government has approved Rs 787.33 crore for the ambitious project.

Along with the road, a 6.55 km long bypass has also been proposed. The bypass will prove to be important for the entire route including Bawdi city. After the upgrade, the widening and renovation of the road will increase the speed of traffic and also reduce the risk of accidents. The new bypass will reduce the pressure of heavy vehicles in Bawdi city. The problem of traffic jam will be solved. Environmental pollution will also be reduced.

The road between Jodhpur and Nagaur will be four lanes

The road project is important in terms of regional development. Fast and safe traffic between Jodhpur-Nagaur will benefit trade, agriculture, tourism and industries. Especially the products of farmers and traders will be easily transported. Access to tourist destinations will also strengthen the economy of Rajasthan.

Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat said that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s efforts under the leadership of the Prime Minister are commendable.
