There has been a stir in Rajasthan’s Dholpur district after the bodies of a couple who had left home to get medicine were found in the Parvati river. Giving information about this incident on Tuesday, the police said that in the initial investigation it is being seen from both the angles of murder or suicide. The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Mahesh and his 30-year-old wife Babita, residents of Dhonde Ka Pura village. Mahesh used to work as a laborer in Agra.
Had left for Agra on a bike
According to the police, this heart-wrenching incident took place on Monday in the Parvati river near Dhonde Ka Pura village in Diholi police station area. On Monday morning the couple had left for Agra on their motorcycle. Their motorcycle and a bag containing Mahesh’s identity card were found on the banks of the Parvati river, due to which it is feared that they fell into the river or were pushed.
Bodies taken out of the river
The villagers first saw the bodies in the river and immediately informed the police. Diholi police station in-charge Paramjit Singh reached the spot with his team and got both the bodies taken out of the river. Police station in-charge Paramjit Singh said that the bodies have been recovered and sent to the government mortuary for post-mortem in the presence of the family. The exact cause of death will be known only after the post-mortem report comes.
The police is currently investigating the case thoroughly. The police is trying to find out whether it was an accident, suicide or someone murdered them. The entire chain from the couple leaving the house to the discovery of the bodies is being investigated. Family members and acquaintances are also being questioned.
