A boy’s affair with a boy or a girl’s affair with a girl has become a common thing now. Many such cases have come to light in the country where homosexual couples have married each other. A similar case has now come to light from Pali in Rajasthan. Here two girls reached the police station. They started telling the policemen that both of us love each other. We want to marry each other. The police then sent both of them to Sakhi Kendra.
Here both the girls were counselled for 9 hours. At first both of them were adamant that they will get married. But later both of them agreed and refused to marry. The case is of Rohat area of Jaitpur. Here on 17th June at 10 am two girls came inside the police station. The policemen asked them the reason for coming to the police station. Then they said that we want to meet the big boss.
Both of them were then brought in front of the SHO. Here they told the SHO that everyone was stunned to hear it. The girls said that both of them love each other and want to stay together for life. Therefore they should be married. SHO thought that both of them were joking. But when the girls insisted on getting married, SHO wanted to know everything in detail.
Affair for five years
The girls told that both of them are neighbors. They belong to the same caste and have studied till fifth standard. Both of them work as cattle herders. Both of them used to go to graze cattle together. Five years ago, the affair between them started. When the family members came to know about their affair, they scolded them. Both of them were not allowed to meet each other for many days. In such a situation, somehow one day both of them talked to each other. Then they decided that they will ask for help from the police for this. The girls said that the family members of both of them are not understanding their love. But they know very well that both of them cannot live without each other.
Explained for 9 hours
They told the inspector that sir please get us both married. On this, the inspector sent both the girls along with the female police personnel to Sakhi Kendra. Sakhi Kendra Superintendent Devi Bamaniya said that this is the first case of homosexual relationship between the two girls in Pali. Both the girls are adults. We explained to them for 9 hours and then they agreed. Then they said that now they will not marry each other. After this they were sent back home.
