Ram Navami: Ram Navami was celebrated with great pomp in Jharkhand amid tight security, Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren offered prayers at Ram Janaki Tapovan temple in Ranchi.

CM Hemant Soren Celebrated Ram Navami: Ram Navami was celebrated with great pomp in Jharkhand on Sunday April 6 amid tight security arrangements. Long queues were seen outside temples across the state since morning. In the afternoon, several colourful processions were taken out in various areas. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren and his wife Kalpana Soren offered prayers at the Ram Janaki Tapovan temple in Ranchi.

CM Hemant Soren wrote on his X handle, “Hearty congratulations, best wishes and Johar to everyone on the holy festival of Ram Navami. The vast life of Lord Shri Ram gives us an incomparable message of love, dignity, dedication, discipline, generosity and sacrifice. The great ideals of Lord Shri Ram will continue to irrigate mankind with an uninterrupted stream of inspiration for ages. May this auspicious occasion bring happiness in everyone’s life, I wish that all of you remain healthy, happy and prosperous.” Ranchi streets adorned with saffron flags

On the occasion of Ram Navami, the streets of the state capital Ranchi were adorned with saffron flags bearing images of Lord Ram and Lord Hanuman. Apart from the rituals, Hanuman Chalisa and Ramcharitmanas were recited in many temples. An official said that security was tightened across the state to prevent any untoward situation. He said that a large number of security forces have been deployed at ‘sensitive’ places like Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Giridih and Hazaribagh. CCTV cameras and drones were installed.

650 CCTVs installed

Additional District Magistrate (Law and Order) Rajeshwar Nath Alok said that CCTV cameras have been installed at 650 places, apart from this 10 drone cameras have also been installed, which have been monitoring the movement of people for the last three days. Traffic should not be disrupted, there should be adequate lighting on major roads, drinking water and medical facilities have also been ensured for the devotees.
