Ranthambore: A forest guard died in a tiger attack on Sunday in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan. A forest department official gave this information.
According to the information received, this incident took place in zone three of Ranthambore Tiger Reserve. Forest guard Devendra Chaudhary, who was on duty near the historic Jogi Mahal area, was attacked by a tiger.
A forest department official said that Devendra Chaudhary had reached Jogi Mahal from Gudha check post on Sunday afternoon. He was recently promoted to the post of forest guard and was also given additional charge of Jogi Mahal.
Suddenly a tiger attacked him. The tiger sat near his body for about 20 minutes, making it difficult for the officials to reach the body. Later the body of the forest guard was taken to the district hospital.
