He also spoke about the formation of a government in Manipur, stating that there must be a government here and that efforts are underway.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, responding to a question from a person during a dialogue program here, said, “I don’t interfere much in the affairs of governments and parties. However, there must be a government in Manipur. According to my knowledge, efforts are underway for this.”

Internal peace will take time – RSS chief
He said, “Destruction takes two minutes, but construction takes two years. Even under these difficult circumstances, continuous efforts have been made to prevent the people of Manipur from fragmenting along different lines. We will definitely take everyone along.” Peace in material matters will be established soon, without harming anyone’s identity, etc. However, inner peace will take some time. We are aware of this.

The RSS cannot be compared to anyone – Bhagwat
Earlier, addressing a gathering in Imphal, Bhagwat said that the RSS remains a topic of daily discussion across the country. Prejudice and propaganda often surface. Describing the RSS’s work as incomparable, he said, “The RSS cannot be compared to any organization, just as there is no comparison between the sea, sky, and ocean.”

Efforts being made at the social level
Bhagwat also praised Manipur’s strong cultural traditions, including wearing traditional attire on special occasions and using local languages. He encouraged strengthening these traditions. Regarding the current situation in the state, Bhagwat said that efforts are being made at the community and social levels to restore stability.

At least 260 people have been killed and thousands displaced in conflict between the Kuki-Zo and Meitei communities in Manipur since May 2023. Manipur is now under President’s rule after N. Biren Singh resigned as Chief Minister in February.
