New Delhi: Famous industrialist Ratan Tata has passed away. He breathed his last at the age of 86. He was ill for a long time and was undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Tata Group’s statement came out
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekhar has issued a statement on this occasion. He said, ‘We are bidding a final farewell to Shri Ratan Naval Tata with a sense of extreme loss. An extraordinary leader whose incomparable contribution not only shaped the Tata Group but also wove the basic fabric of our nation. For the Tata Group, Mr. Tata was much more than a chairperson. For me he was a guru, guide and friend as well.’
He said, ‘With unwavering commitment, the Tata Group under the leadership of Ratan Tata expanded excellence, integrity and innovation. He always remained true to his moral compass. Shri Tata’s dedication to philanthropy and the development of society has influenced the lives of millions of people, from education to healthcare, his initiatives have taken deep roots. Ratan Tata died at 11:30 pm at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. He was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital for the last few days. Tata Sons Chairman N. Chandrasekaran confirmed the death of Ratan Tata in a statement and described him as his “friend and guide”. Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran later said in a statement, “We are bidding farewell to Ratan Naval Tata with deep sorrow.
