The ministry said that the reason for conducting the missile test was to test the strength of the missile. This test was done two days after Putin warned NATO countries of nuclear war.

According to the report of news agency TASS, the Russian Defense Ministry said, ‘Employees of the Yoshkar-Ola missile formation at the State Test Cosmodrome Plesetsk launched the intercontinental ballistic missile ‘PGRK Yars’. This is a mobile based missile, that is, it can be easily transported from one place to another with the help of a truck. This missile has many warheads.

Putin’s warning of nuclear war
Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin had expressed concern over the increasing involvement of Western countries in the Ukraine war. Putin had said that if NATO countries join the war on behalf of Ukraine, the risk of ‘International Nuclear War’ will increase. In a two-hour speech, Putin described Western leaders as careless and irresponsible. During this, he warned about the real danger of nuclear conflict. He said that if a nuclear war occurs, it could lead to the ‘destruction of our civilization’.

Putin said that ‘We also have weapons that can attack targets in the western region. He said that we are giving suggestions to NATO countries and not threatening them. The rapprochement of NATO countries with Ukraine poses a real threat of nuclear conflict, which would mean the destruction of our civilization.

How deadly is the Yars missile?
The RS-24 (Yars) missile is 23 meters long and has been made mobile based. Russia’s MIRV Yars missile is capable of delivering multiple nuclear weapons. With this it is capable of hitting many targets. This is a modified version of the Yars Topol-M missile system.

According to Hindustan Times report, Russia has the world’s largest nuclear weapons stockpile, which has about 5,889 nuclear weapons. The United States is in second place with about 5,244 nuclear weapons. Both Russia and the United States control 90 percent of the world’s nuclear weapons, with approximately 1,670 strategic nuclear weapons deployed by each country.
