Russian President Vladimir Putin’s two-day visit to India has concluded. On Friday, President Putin received a ceremonial welcome at the Presidential Palace and was given a guard of honor. 19 agreements were signed between India and Russia, aimed at boosting trade between the two countries. A state dinner was hosted for President Putin at the Presidential Palace. During the dinner, Prime Minister Modi and President Putin sat next to each other.

What was served at the state dinner?
The traditional thali (platter) included seasonal vegetables along with several other dishes, prepared using aromatic spices.
Soup: A mildly spiced broth of drumstick leaves and moong dal (lentils) was served, garnished with puffed millet, which not only enhanced the taste but also looked quite impressive.
Chutney: Kashmiri-style walnut chutney was also served on the platter.
Pan-grilled black gram kebabs were served with mint chutney and sheermal bread.
Zafrani Paneer Roll: A roll of paneer (Indian cottage cheese) and dry fruits in a saffron-flavored sauce.
Palak Methi Matar ka Saag: Slowly cooked greens of spinach, fenugreek leaves, and fresh peas, tempered with wild mustard seeds. Tandoori Stuffed Potatoes: Potatoes stuffed and roasted over charcoal, marinated in yogurt and spices.
Achari Baingan: Small eggplants served in a sweet and spicy chutney flavored with pickle spices.
Yellow Dal Tadka: A delicious blend of yellow lentils boiled with tomatoes and onions, tempered with cumin and asafoetida.
The Kremlin menu included dry fruit and saffron pulao, bread, laccha paratha/magaz naan/satanj roti/missi roti/biskuti roti.
For dessert, there was almond halwa and saffron-pistachio kulfi. In addition, several types of fresh fruits, their juices, and various other sweet dishes were served.
