New Delhi: A major update has arrived regarding Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to India. Russian President Putin will visit India for two days on December 4th and 5th, the first week of next month. Russia is one of India’s most trusted friends. It is believed that Putin’s visit will further strengthen relations between Russia and India. Earlier, Russian state TV quoted Kremlin foreign policy advisor Yuri Ushakov as saying that Putin’s upcoming visit to India will be “very grand” and “meaningful.”

In an interview with VGTRK Russian state TV, Ushakov said, “Russia and India are preparing vigorously for this visit. We hope that Putin’s visit will be fruitful in every respect. It is going to be a very grand visit.”

When will PM Modi and Putin meet?

Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov emphasized, “This visit provides an opportunity to implement the agreement between Indian PM Modi and Russian President Putin that they will meet annually to discuss bilateral and international affairs in detail.”

Russian Foreign Minister’s Statement
It is noteworthy that recently, when Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar visited Russia, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, while welcoming him, stated that Putin would visit India soon. Furthermore, Nikolai Patrushev, a close confidante of Russian President Vladimir Putin, also met with PM Modi. Patrushev, Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board, discussed strengthening cooperation in connectivity, shipbuilding, skill development, and the maritime sector. PM Modi then conveyed to Patrushev that he looked forward to hosting Russian President Putin in India.
