Samajwadi Party: After MP Ramji Lal Suman’s controversial comment on Rana Sanga, Karni Sena attacked his residence, Samajwadi Party came into action mode and targeted BJP, PDA will take out Samman Andolan in the entire state after Eid

This historical fact is also very strange that the battle between Rana Sanga and Babur was fought in March 1527 in Khanwa near Agra. Now after about 500 years, a new political battle is going to start in the name of Rana Sanga and Babur and Agra is also at the center of this battle.

Attack on SP MP’s residence

After making controversial remarks on Rana Sanga, SP’s Rajya Sabha MP Ramji Lal Suman came under the target of organizations like BJP, VHP. Karni Sena vandalized his Agra residence. At first, SP and Ramji Lal Suman were seen on the back foot regarding the statement and called Rana Sanga a great man of the nation, but now there is a new twist in this matter again.

Ramji Lal Suman has reiterated his statement and said that he still stands by his statement. SP is also seen standing strongly with its MP Ramji Lal Suman and has opened a front against all those institutions and organizations including Karni Sena.

SP will protest after Eid

Ram Gopal Yadav has announced that after Eid, SP is going to hold a state-wide protest. Two big leaders of SP, Ram Gopal Yadav and Shivpal Yadav went to Agra and met Ramji Lal Suman at his house and enquired about his well-being and announced to start a state-wide protest. Akhilesh Yadav also made a serious allegation that this entire incident was carried out at the behest of the CM.

Akhilesh’s focus on PDA

Akhilesh Yadav has made every possible effort to give this entire incident a political form of the struggle between Thakur and Dalit identity. Senior journalist Rajendra Kumar says that no attempt is being made to analyse history properly. More efforts are being made to mobilise people in the name of Aurangzeb. If anyone talks about those facts of history which do not suit any side, then a situation of fighting arises. This entire matter has become political. Akhilesh Yadav knows that Thakur votes can never be obtained by SP as long as Yogi ji is there but if Dalits join SP then Dalit-Muslim and Yadav alliance can be effective in cornering BJP at village level. In Lok Sabha elections, SP has done this miracle by giving the slogan of PDA.

What is Akhilesh Yadav’s stand?

Senior journalist, who has been covering Samajwadi Party for a long time, says that the way SP chief Ramji Lal was seen standing with Suman and Ram Gopal Yadav and Shivpal Yadav were sent to his house to inquire about his well-being, it becomes clear that Akhilesh Yadav’s stand is very clear. SP will support its Dalit MP on this issue in every situation.

If we try to understand SP’s strategy by making Dalit vote bank as the basis in terms of Lok Sabha election results, then a more clear picture emerges. The effect of the strategy of PDA formula made by SP in Lok Sabha elections was that a large part of Dalit voters went with SP and due to that SP got 37 seats in UP.

What is the equation of Dalit vote bank?

Dalit vote bank is divided into two parts- Jatav and non-Jatav. On the basis of CSDS report, in Lok Sabha elections, 25% of Jatav vote bank went to SP-Congress alliance while 24% Jatav votes went to BJP. BSP got around 44% Jatav votes. 56% of non-Jatav Dalit votes went to SP while 29% non-Jatav votes went to BJP. BSP got 15% non-Jatav votes. Ramji Lal Suman comes from Jatav community and SP understands the socio-political environment of UP very well, that is why Akhilesh Yadav has decided to run a movement at the state level.

Dalit-Yadav and Muslim alliance has control over around 50% vote bank in UP. That means it will be easy for SP to corner BJP with the help of this alliance. Dalit community is disappointed with BSP and it does not see any possibility of leadership in Chandrashekhar. While the Dalit community is looking for new leadership, the SP chief is moving towards the Dalit vote bank. The battle of Rana Sanga vs Babar is now rapidly changing into a struggle for caste identity between Thakurs vs Dalits in UP.
