Municipal Executive Officer Mani Bhushan Tiwari said that CCTV cameras worth Rs 2 crore are being installed across the city for surveillance under the grant of the 15th Finance Commission. Let us tell you that on November 24 last year, violence broke out during the survey of the Mughal-era Jama Masjid in Kot Garvi area of ​​​​Sambhal. Four people were killed in this firing, while many others were injured.

Security of the city will be strengthened
Municipal Executive Officer Mani Bhushan Tiwari said that the district administration has proposed this scheme to ensure security and effectively monitor any future incident. He said that the already installed CCTV cameras have significantly helped in monitoring and identifying the miscreants. The official said that the new CCTV cameras at 127 locations across the city will strengthen security and surveillance and is expected to enhance traffic management, law enforcement and public safety, especially to prevent snatching and ensure the safety of women.

All cameras will be installed in two-three months

These cameras will be installed at major entry and exit points, sensitive areas and major intersections. Along with this, ‘voice controller’ will be integrated into the system. He said, “The work of control and monitoring of the cameras will be conducted through two centralized control rooms. Operation from one room will be under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), while the other room will be jointly operated by police, municipal corporation officials and the agency responsible for maintenance. ” He said that the project has started and full implementation is expected to take two to three months. He said that once the work is completed, activities across Sambhal will be monitored.
