Sanjay Raut had made a sensational claim that the horns of buffaloes sacrificed during Eknath Shinde’s Kamakhya temple visit in Guwahati were buried in the premises of the Chief Minister’s official residence ‘Varsha’, while now Devendra Fadnavis has given a clarification on this.

Mumbai: The Chief Minister’s official residence ‘Varsha’ bungalow has been a topic of discussion in the political corridors of Maharashtra for several days. Devendra Fadnavis has not yet gone to live in the Chief Minister’s residence since taking oath as Chief Minister. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has made a sensational claim about Varsha bungalow located in Malabar Hill area of Mumbai. Raut claimed that someone has done black magic in Varsha bungalow and that is why CM Fadnavis does not want to go to this bungalow again.

Fadnavis told why he did not shift to CM residence

At the same time, Devendra Fadnavis’ statement has come out on this. Fadnavis on Tuesday rejected claims of not moving to the official Chief Minister’s residence in South Mumbai due to superstition and said that he would move there after his daughter’s board exams are over. On Raut’s claim, Fadnavis said, “A person of my level does not even consider it necessary to react to such baseless claims.”

Fadnavis’ clarification came hours after Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s statement in which he said that the horns of the buffaloes sacrificed in Guwahati during Eknath Shinde’s Kamakhya temple visit were buried in the premises of the Chief Minister’s official residence ‘Varsha’, so that the post of Chief Minister does not go to anyone other than Shinde.

Fadnavis living in Sagar bungalow

Shinde became the Chief Minister of the state after rebelling against Uddhav Thackeray in June 2022 and joining hands with the BJP. He remained the Chief Minister till November 2024, but after the assembly elections, Fadnavis took over as Chief Minister for the third time. Despite taking over as Chief Minister in the first week of December, Fadnavis is currently living in ‘Sagar’ bungalow.

Rejecting Raut’s claims, Fadnavis said, “I will move to ‘Varsha’ bungalow after Eknath Shinde vacates it. Some minor repairs are also being done. Meanwhile, my daughter (who is in class 10th) requested that we shift only after her exams. That is why I have not gone there yet.”

Everyone in Shinde camp is a lemon emperor – Raut

Sanjay Raut had made a sensational claim that why is Devendra Fadnavis not going to live in Varsha bungalow? Why has he not gone yet even after so many days of taking oath? Maharashtra is also worried about this. Everyone in Shinde camp is a lemon emperor. It is heard that there is a discussion in the BJP camp that a pit has been dug in the lawn outside Varsha bungalow and a buffalo horn cut in Kamakhya Devi has been buried in it. This is being said by their own people. Raut further said, is this true or wrong? We do not believe in superstition, rather we are people who believe in the Superstition Eradication Act. A buffalo was sacrificed in the Kamakhya temple, the horns containing tantra-mantra were brought from there and buried here so that the post of Chief Minister cannot be held by anyone else. The staff there itself is saying this.
