Sanjay Raut: On the article war going on in Maharashtra, Sanjay Raut supported Rahul Gandhi and said that the Election Commission should answer Rahul Gandhi’s questions, not the BJP.

Sanjay Raut Vs Devendra Fadnavis: Politics has heated up over the article written by India Alliance’s prominent face and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on the rigging in Maharashtra elections. Senior Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has also reacted to this.

Sanjay Raut said in a statement to PTI that Rahul Gandhi’s article has reached the people of the country and the questions raised in it should be answered by the Election Commission, not the Bharatiya Janata Party. He said that Rahul Gandhi has said that the Maharashtra elections have been hijacked and this issue is serious.

If the allegation is on Election Commission, then why is Fadnavis answering it- Raut
When Sanjay Raut was asked about the article written by Devendra Fadnavis, he said, “I did not see where the article is. I have definitely read Rahul Gandhi’s article. Because that article has reached all the people of the country. Rahul Gandhi has raised 5 important issues, in which the most serious allegation is on the Election Commission. He has mentioned matters like changing the panel, irregularities in the voter list, and sudden addition of more than 60 lakh new voters.” Raut says that these questions should be answered not by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, but by the Election Commission. He said sarcastically, “Whether Fadnavis writes an article or the Gita, it will not make any difference, no one reads them now.”

BJP and its gang stole the Maharashtra elections- Raut
Raut also said that Rahul Gandhi is sitting on a constitutional post and he has the right to ask this question. He alleged that the BJP and its allies, the Shinde-Ajit Pawar gang, had “stolen” the election. “If we can win the Lok Sabha, then how did the BJP get such a huge majority in just a few months?” he said, questioning whether elections were actually held in Maharashtra but the results were pre-decided.

Let us tell you that in his article, Rahul Gandhi had described the November 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections as “match fixing-like poison” for democracy. He termed it as “industrial level” rigging and accused the Election Commission and other institutions of misuse. In response, Fadnavis also wrote an article and rejected Rahul Gandhi’s allegations outright and called them an insult to democracy. Citing the Supreme Court and the Election Commission, Fadnavis said that the opposition’s claims are completely baseless.
