Senior Congress leader, former minister and former Rajya Sabha MP Ashk Ali Tank breathed his last on October 5 late evening at the age of 67.

Senior Congress leader, former minister, and former Rajya Sabha MP Ashk Ali Tank passed away late on October 5th at the age of 67. Tank had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Jaipur for some time and passed away during treatment.

His body has now been brought to his ancestral home, and will be buried at the Vidyadhar Nagar cemetery at 11:00 a.m. today (October 6th). Senior Congress leaders have expressed grief over Tank’s passing.

Ashok Gehlot Expresses Grief
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief, saying that the news of the passing of senior Congress leader, former minister, and former Rajya Sabha MP Ashk Ali Tank is very sad. He achieved many milestones during his long political career. Tank was also the president of the NSUI and Youth Congress, and the chairman of the Minority Commission. He was very popular among the youth.

Gehlot said, “During his tenure, he toured extensively across the state, strengthening the organization. Very few people are able to undertake such tours.” Whenever the party gave him any responsibility, he performed it well. His passing is a personal loss for me.

Despite health issues, Ashk Ali Tank was an active participant in all party events. I pray that Allah grants him a place in Paradise and gives his family the courage to bear this loss.

Govind Singh Dotasara also expressed condolences
PCC Chief Govind Singh Dotasara also expressed deep condolences on Tank’s passing. He said that Tank dedicated his entire life to the Congress party. He had been working for the Congress party since his youth. Even during his illness, he continued to participate in party events. Tank’s passing is a personal loss not only for the party but also for him.
