Road Accident: 11 people have died in a road accident in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. An overloaded dumper went out of control and overturned on a bus and in the accident that followed, 11 devotees have died. All of them were going from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh to Purnagiri in Uttarakhand. This accident happened around 12.15 pm on Saturday night. 25 devotees are injured in this road accident.
According to local people, the bus passengers were stopping at a restaurant in Shahjahanpur at night. Then a dumper coming from behind went out of control and collided and overturned. After this road accident, by around 1 o’clock in the night, the death of 11 passengers was confirmed at the spot itself. At the same time, 25 passengers are said to be injured in this road accident. All these injured passengers have been sent to the hospital for treatment.
The bus was coming from Sitapur
If the people present at the spot are to be believed, there were about 40 passengers in the bus. All of them were going to visit the Devi Mata Darbar in Purnagiri, Uttarakhand. Every day, devotees come in large numbers to visit Devi Mata’s court. Devotees from Sindhauli of Sitapur were going there to visit the court. All of them were going to visit Mata’s court by a private bus. Shahjahanpur police has given information in this regard.
According to the information given by the police, when the bus was passing through Gola Marg of Shahjahanpur, the driver had parked it at a dhaba for breakfast and food. After the bus stopped, some devotees went to the dhaba for food. While some were sitting in the bus and some were strolling outside. During this time, this accident happened. As soon as the dumper overturned, some devotees present there got buried under it. After this accident, the police has been informed.
