At least 12 people have been killed and more than 30 injured in an explosion outside a court in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad. The terrorist organization Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed responsibility for the suicide attack. Despite this, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has attempted to blame India for the attack on Tuesday (November 11, 2025).

According to Pakistan’s state-run news agency APP, Shahbaz Sharif condemned the attackers, calling them terrorist agents supported by India. Sharif said, “These attacks are part of India-sponsored terrorism, aimed at destabilizing Pakistan.” However, India has repeatedly rejected such claims by Pakistan.

Sharif did not provide any evidence

Shahbaz Sharif also claimed, without providing any evidence, that an Afghan-based network was responsible for the attack on children in Wana. He was referring to the attack on Monday (November 10, 2025) outside a cadet college in the Wana area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, bordering Afghanistan. Sharif blamed India for this attack and another earlier in the day on a cadet college near the Afghan border.

Addressing the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference in Islamabad, Sharif said, “Afghanistan must understand that lasting peace is possible only if it controls the TTP and other terrorist organizations operating from its soil.”

A post was made by the Pakistani government on the social media platform X. The post claimed, “The suicide attack in Islamabad on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) originated from Afghanistan and involved Indian support.”

According to APP, PM Sharif said, “No amount of condemnation will be enough for these attacks, which are being carried out from Afghan soil under Indian patronage. Such attacks cannot weaken Pakistan’s resolve to completely eliminate terrorism.”

Pakistani President Condemns Attack

Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari condemned the blast, which occurred near the District Judicial Complex, calling it a suicide attack. Meanwhile, Home Minister Mosin Naqvi said the explosion occurred at 12:39 pm (07:39 GMT) and confirmed it was a suicide attack. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said Pakistan was at war and the bombing was a warning.
