Sheikh Hasina – ‘Allah kept me alive for a purpose… Those who targeted me will be brought to justice.’

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, ‘Allah has kept me alive for a purpose. I will return. The day will definitely come when those who target Awami League leaders will be brought to justice.’

Awami League President Hasina said this when she was talking to the families of her party leaders on social media. She has been taking refuge in India since leaving Bangladesh in August last year.

Hasina said about the interim advisor of the Bangladesh government, Mohammad Yunus, that he is a person who never loved people. Yunus gave small loans to the poor at high interest rates and lived a luxurious life in many countries with this money.

Hasina said that at that time we could not understand Yunus’s cunningness, so we kept helping him. But this did not benefit the people, he only became rich. Later he developed a hunger for power, which is burning Bangladesh today.

Hasina said- Bangladesh has now become a terrorist country

Sheikh Hasina said that earlier Bangladesh was seen as a model of development, but now it has become a terrorist country. The way our leaders and workers are being killed cannot even be described. Awami League, police, lawyers, journalists, artists, everyone is being killed.

Hasina said that now even the media is not being allowed to work in this country. Rape, murder, robbery, nothing is being reported. And if it is reported, that TV channel or newspaper will be targeted.

Hasina said- Allah kept me alive, I will come back

Recalling the horrific murder of her entire family, Sheikh Hasina said, ‘I lost my father, mother, brother – everyone in one day. And then we were not even allowed to return to the country. I know what is the pain of losing loved ones. Allah has always protected me, maybe he wants me to do something good. Those who have committed these heinous crimes must be punished. This is my promise.’

When a supporter asked her how she was, she replied,

“I am alive. Another supporter said that may Allah give you a chance again. To this Hasina said that Allah will definitely give me a chance. That is why Allah has kept me alive. I am coming.”

The movement against reservation had led to a coup

Sheikh Hasina left the country and came to India on 5 August last year. Actually, students were protesting against her across the country. On June 5, the High Court in Bangladesh implemented a 30% quota system in jobs, against this reservation, university students in Dhaka were protesting. This reservation was being given to the families of freedom fighters.

However, the Hasina government later abolished this reservation. But after this the students started protesting demanding her resignation. A large number of students and common people took to the streets against Hasina and her government. Two months after this protest, on August 5, he resigned from the post of Prime Minister. After this, an interim government was formed.

Hasina’s passport cancelled, arrest warrant issued

The Yunus government formed after the coup in Bangladesh has registered more than 225 cases against Hasina, ranging from murder, kidnapping to treason. At the same time, the Bangladeshi government has warned that the statements being given by Hasina while staying in India are spoiling the relations between the two countries.

The Bangladesh government has also cancelled Sheikh Hasina’s passport due to the murders in July. At the same time, the International Criminal Tribunal of Bangladesh had issued an arrest warrant against her. The tribunal has directed Hasina to appear by February 12.

Bangladesh has also appealed to India to deport Hasina. However, the Indian government has extended her visa, which made it clear that she will not be deported to Bangladesh.
