Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray questioned the timing of PM Modi’s Mumbai visit and said why did the PM not use a helicopter like he did during elections. Why should Mumbaikars be bothered by VIP visits?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Maharashtra’s capital Mumbai. Here he handed over INS Surat, INS Nilgiri and INS Vagsheer to the Navy at the Naval Dockyard. Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray has targeted PM Modi’s visit. He has raised questions on the road and traffic jam caused by PM Modi’s visit. He has said that why did the PM not use the helicopter like during elections.

He said, there is traffic jam in Mumbai on working days. Lakhs of people get stuck on the Western Express Highway and reach office late. Why can’t such programs, where VIPs stop traffic for more than 20 minutes, be held on weekends? Why are only working days chosen?

Aditya Thackeray further said that why can’t helicopters be used like during elections, so that their travel can be completed quickly. Why can’t traffic be planned in a better way. Why should Mumbaikars be bothered by VIP visits.

Sanjay Raut also raised questions

Sanjay Raut also raised questions on PM Modi’s visit. He said that if the Prime Minister is coming for the development of Mumbai then it is welcome, but if he is coming for the development of Adani then it is not acceptable. The question of Dharavi is still pending.

He said that when will the Prime Minister go to Manipur, this is also a big question. He should go there only after the Delhi elections are over. EVM machines should be placed on the stage today. Instead of placing pictures of great men, EVMs should be placed, so that the real creators of this victory can come on the stage.
