After the split in Shiv Sena in June 2022 following the rebellion of Eknath Shinde, both the factions had given petitions to the Assembly Speaker demanding disqualification of each other’s MLAs under the anti-defection law. After this rebellion, Shinde became the Chief Minister. In his order, Narvekar ruled that Shinde’s group is the real Shiv Sena. He also did not disqualify any MLA from any faction. Aditya Thackeray said, “Ravindra Vaikar, Kishore Pednekar, Rajan Salvi are being harassed and threatened by the investigating agencies so that they join the Eknath Shinde faction. These leaders have nothing to hide, that is why they remain loyal (to Uddhav Thackeray).
