Five bullets were fired at Prime Minister Fico on Wednesday outside a cultural center where he was meeting supporters. Fico is hospitalized and is being treated. The deadly attack on the Prime Minister has shocked this small Central European country. Leaders are blaming the political polarization that has divided the country for the attack.
PM Modi condemns
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also strongly condemned the shooting of his Slovakian counterpart Robert Fico on Thursday. PM Modi has wished Fico a speedy recovery. Prime Minister Modi said that India stands in solidarity with the people of Slovakia in this hour.
