Himachal Pradesh: A case of great negligence has come to light in Ser Baneda Panchayat of Solan development block of Himachal Pradesh. The entire family of the child is paying for this negligence. This has clearly exposed a big negligence in the functioning.

In fact, a child of only two years has been shown working in the private sector in Solan. Not only this, he has also been recorded as literate in the family register prepared by the Panchayat, whereas the reality is that this child was born only in April 2023 and his age is only 2 years.

While the family is suffering the brunt of this negligence, questions are being raised on the functioning of the Gram Panchayat regarding this mistake. This thing came to light when a copy of the family register was obtained.

This poor family belonging to the BPL category is already living in a miserable condition. Due to the Panchayat’s mistake, the poor family did not get the benefit of any government scheme, be it housing scheme or other social security schemes.

The head of the family, Joginder Singh, told that a false entry has been made in the family register about his two-year-old grandson working in the private sector and being literate. Due to this mistake, he is worried that he may be removed from the BPL list, due to which he may be deprived of the benefits he will get in the future.

He has appealed to the administration to correct this wrong entry with immediate effect. There are 7 members in his family and all of them are still forced to live a life of poverty. Confirming this, BDO Solan Ramesh Sharma said, “This matter has come to our notice. The entry in the family register is done online. It seems that this is a clerical mistake. It will be corrected today itself.
