Afghanistan paid the price for poor batting
Talking about the match, Afghanistan batted first in it. However, their batting was in such a bad condition in front of South Africa’s fiery bowling that they could not even play the full 20 overs. Their innings ended in just 11.5 overs. Afghanistan scored only 56 runs while playing first and gave South Africa a target of 57 runs.

South Africa, chasing the target given by Afghanistan, achieved the target of 57 runs in just 8.5 overs by losing 1 wicket. South Africa’s only wicket fell in the form of Quinton de Kock, who was dismissed after scoring 1 run. De Kock’s wicket was taken by Farooqui. Later, Reeza Hendricks (29 not out) and Aiden Markram (23 not out) returned to guide the team to victory.
