SP on RS: Politics intensifies regarding Rajya Sabha elections in UP, 7 MLAs missing from SP meeting, Akhilesh will give secret message to MLAs after sunrise tomorrow, two MLAs from across the state missing from NDA meeting

Politics has intensified in Uttar Pradesh regarding the Rajya Sabha elections to be held on Monday. On Sunday, an important meeting of MLAs regarding elections was called at the Samajwadi Party office in Lucknow. It is being told that 7 SP MLAs did not attend the meeting. According to sources, the party is continuously trying to contact the MLAs who are missing from the meeting.

According to sources, the seven SP MLAs who were reported not to attend the meeting include Vinod Chaturvedi, Rakesh Pandey, Pooja Pal, Inderjit Saroj, Abhay Singh, Rakesh Pratap Singh, Pankaj Patel, Maharaji Prajapati and Manoj Pandey. At present the party is trying to contact these MLAs.

Just before voting for Rajya Sabha elections, SP chief and former CM Akhilesh Yadav has called another meeting of all the MLAs. In this meeting, Akhilesh Yadav will clarify the situation regarding the elections in front of his MLAs. In this meeting, Akhilesh Yadav will tell his MLAs what they have to do and what not.

Samajwadi Party has announced three candidates for the elections. Out of these three candidates, the victory of two is considered certain, but there is a dilemma regarding one of them. It is being said that Akhilesh Yadav himself is arranging the fielding for the victory of all the three candidates. In this context, he has called a meeting of MLAs tomorrow morning.

There are 11 candidates in the fray for 10 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, due to which there is a contest between SP and BJP. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is making every effort to win the Rajya Sabha elections and is trying hard to add every vote. After the meeting of SP MLAs on Saturday and Monday, Akhilesh Yadav has prepared a special strategy. Before voting on Tuesday and after sunrise, Akhilesh Yadav will hold a meeting of SP MLAs in the Legislative Assembly and there he will give them a secret message for the Rajya Sabha elections?

SP has fielded three of its candidates in the UP Rajya Sabha elections. Jaya Bachchan, Ramjilal Suman and Alok Ranjan are candidates from SP. SP has not yet decided the order of preference of its three Rajya Sabha candidates. Ram Gopal Yadav trained SP MLAs on the process of voting in Rajya Sabha elections. During this time he also did not tell the preference of the candidate. Akhilesh Yadav will do the work of telling the preferences of the candidates to the MLAs, for which he has fixed the time before voting.

The voting process for Rajya Sabha elections will start at 9 am on Tuesday, but SP has called its MLAs to the SP office in the Legislature at 8 am. Just before voting, Akhilesh Yadav will tell his MLAs who will be the SP candidate on first preference, who will be voted on second preference and who will be voted on third preference. If sources are to be believed, SP is going to field Ramjilal Suman as its first candidate in the Rajya Sabha elections, Jaya Bachchan at the second position and Alok Ranjan at the third position.

Victory of two out of three SP candidates confirmed
SP has fielded three candidates in the Rajya Sabha elections, out of which two are certain to win, but the third candidate will have to work hard. Who among Jaya Bachchan, Ramjilal Suman and Alok Ranjan does SP make its third candidate on the basis of preference in Rajya Sabha elections? The picture on this will be clear on Tuesday, but BJP will have to work hard to make its third candidate win in the Rajya Sabha elections. One reason for this is that Raja Bhaiya has taken a stand to stand with BJP, that is, he has given approval to vote for the eighth candidate of BJP. After this, now SP will have to find three additional votes to make the third candidate win.

To make a candidate win in Rajya Sabha, votes of 37 MLAs are needed. SP needs the votes of 111 MLAs to make its three candidates win, it has 108 MLAs, out of which two MLAs are in jail and despite getting the votes of two Congress MLAs, the figure of 108 is reaching. In this context, SP will need the votes of three MLAs. That is why SP is busy adding votes one by one. SP’s concern has increased after Raja Bhaiya took the stand. Two SP MLAs are currently in jail. Ramakant Yadav and Irfan Solanki are in jail while SP Rakesh Pandey’s son Ritesh Pandey joined BJP on Sunday. In this way, there is doubt on Rakesh Pandey also.

This is how Rajya Sabha elections are held
There is a process of voting in Rajya Sabha elections. Rajya Sabha elections are not conducted by secret ballot nor are EVMs used in it. Here a number from one to four is written in front of the name of each candidate. MLAs have to mark the name of Rajya Sabha candidate on the basis of preference. An MLA can vote only once. MLAs vote on the basis of priority. They have to tell who is their first choice and who is their second. The one who gets first choice votes is considered the winner.

SP will need three additional votes to make its third candidate victorious, for which there is a lot of challenge for the third candidate on the basis of preference. That is why SP is busy in training its MLAs. Ram Gopal told in the SP meeting that in the Rajya Sabha election ballot paper, the MLA has to draw only a vertical line in front of his allotted candidate.

It should not touch any other food. Will not vote with your pen in the ballot paper. Only the pen given by the presiding officer will have to be used. After this, all the MLAs will have to cast their vote by showing it to the polling agent. SP has prepared dummy ballot papers for training on voting in Rajya Sabha elections, for which training was given to the MLAs again in the party office on Monday, but the party has not disclosed the names of the candidates on the basis of preference.

Mathematics of votes in Rajya Sabha elections
The total number of MLAs in P assembly is 403. Of these, 3 members have passed away. One member of BJP is disqualified. Thus, there are a total of 399 MLAs, out of which 3 members are in jail. Two are SP’s Ramakant Yadav and Irfan Solanki and one is SubhaSP MLA Abbas Ansari. An application has been filed in the High Court to allow the jailed MLAs to take part in voting in the Rajya Sabha elections. In this way, a Rajya Sabha would require the support of 37 MLAs. BJP needs the support of 296 MLAs to win its 8 Rajya Sabha members while SP needs 111 MLAs to win three Rajya Sabha seats.

The path has become easier with Jayant Choudhary and Raja Bhaiya coming out in support of BJP, but even after that it needs six votes. In the meeting of NDA MLAs, three out of six MLAs of Om Prakash Rajbhar’s party Subhaspa did not turn up, one of whom, Abbas Ansari, is in jail while the concern increased due to the non-appearance of two MLAs. SP has made a plan to make all its three Rajya Sabha candidates win, for which not only Subha SP but two RLD MLAs are on target. In such a situation, will SP chief Akhilesh Yadav give the secret message of his MLAs in the legislature on Tuesday morning?

Rajya Sabha elections in UP are becoming interesting, here there is a strong tussle between BJP and SP for one seat, both the parties are staking their claim on this seat. However, there is a dilemma as to whose account this seat will go to. The reason for this is SubhaSP and RLD, of course both these parties are part of NDA, but there are some MLAs from both these parties who are SP leaders. This is also being said to be the reason for the confidence Akhilesh Yadav has in claiming the third Rajya Sabha seat in UP.

There are 10 Rajya Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, but BJP has fielded 8 candidates and Samajwadi Party has fielded three candidates. In such a situation, 7 candidates from NDA and 2 candidates from Samajwadi Party are sure to become Rajya Sabha members, the whole fight is about one seat, both the parties have put in all their strength for this one seat, NDA is trying to ensure that the allies get elected. While the BJP candidates should unite, the Samajwadi Party is trying to ensure that the SP leaders who won on RLD and SubhaSP tickets show loyalty towards the SP.

This is the mathematics of votes in UP
There are 403 seats in UP, but currently the candidates eligible to vote are 399, in this sense, a Rajya Sabha candidate in UP would need at least 399 x 100 / 10+ 1 = 36 + 1 i.e. 37 votes to win. Currently, NDA has 288 votes, which includes two votes from Raja Bhaiya’s party. He is not a part of NDA, but after reaching the mock polling of NDA, he made it clear that his two votes will go to NDA’s account only. Are going to. That means 7 NDA candidates will win only in 259 votes. After this, efforts will be made to win the eighth seat from the votes remaining. Talking about SP alliance, they currently have 110 MLAs. SP needs 111 votes to win three seats, the problem is that SP MLA Irfan Solanki is in jail and has not got the right to vote yet. In such a situation, SP has to save the rebellion as well as garner two votes.

This is the reason for Akhilesh’s confidence
The main reason for Akhilesh’s confidence is the SP leaders who won the elections on SubhaSP and RLD tickets. Actually, SubhaSP currently has 6 MLAs, out of which three MLAs i.e. Abbas Ansari, MLA from Mau, Jagdish Narayan, MLA from Jafrabad seat of Jaunpur and Dudharam, MLA from Mahadeva seat of Basti, are close to SP. In such a situation, Akhilesh hopes that these MLAs can play with the NDA, this hope of Akhilesh has increased further due to the absence of 2 SubhaSP MLAs in the NDA meeting in Lucknow on Monday. Abbas Ansari is in jail, so permission to give him ticket has not been received yet. Apart from this, Akhilesh also has hopes from RLD leaders, two RLD MLAs also did not attend the NDA meeting held on Monday.

OP Rajbhar claims, all votes will go to NDA
SubhaSP Chief OP Rajbhar, who arrived at the NDA meeting with three MLAs on Monday, claimed that all the votes of the party will go to the NDA’s account only. After leaving the NDA meeting, when OP Rajbhar was asked about the missing MLAs, he also claimed that these MLAs would come to the dinner organized in the evening. On the other hand, Rajabhaiya has also made it clear that two MLAs of his party Jansatta Dal will go with BJP only. He made this clear after reaching the NDA meeting.

We have numerical strength: Claim of BJP state president
UP BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary has claimed that BJP is winning eight seats in UP, we have numerical strength. Before this, he also addressed the NDA meeting and watched the mock poll. This mock poll was organized by BJP so that all the MLAs could be told how to vote. Whereas BJP MLA Pankaj Singh said that BJP is winning seats directly, we never need burglary.

Raja Bhaiya revealed his cards, whom will Ritesh Pandey’s father Rakesh Pandey vote for?
Tuesday, February 27, is going to be a day of political turmoil and maneuvering for Uttar Pradesh. Elections are to be held on 10 Rajya Sabha seats on Tuesday but 11 candidates are in the fray. Bharatiya Janata Party has fielded eight candidates while three candidates are trying their best from Samajwadi Party. All three SP candidates will need a total of 111 votes to win, but the party has only 108 MLAs, and on top of that, internal rebellion has created trouble for Akhilesh. Apart from this, Rashtriya Lok Dal, which was an ally of SP till now, has formed an alliance with BJP and SP’s own MLA Pallavi Patel is also eyeing Akhilesh.

Pallavi had objection to the selection of Samajwadi Party for Rajya Sabha elections. He said that the party talks about backward, Dalit and tribal people but it did not choose the candidates for Rajya Sabha elections in that manner. SP has made former bureaucrats Alok Ranjan, Jaya Bachchan and Ramji Lal Suman its candidates for Rajya Sabha, Pallavi Patel has objection to these names and has decided that she will vote against the party line of SP. SP MLAs Ramakant Yadav and Irfan Solanki are in jail. Another SP MLA has passed away. In such a situation, gathering the required number of 111 for the party may prove to be very difficult.

Raja Bhaiya opened his cards
Akhilesh Yadav was hopeful that Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya himself and another MLA from his party would vote in favor of the Samajwadi Party MLAs, but now Raja Bhaiya has revealed his cards at the last moment. Raja Bhaiya has said that the vote of Jansatta Dal is with Bharatiya Janata Party. In this way the situation has become worrying for Akhilesh Yadav. SP had hoped that Raja Bhaiya and his party MLA Vinod Sonkar would vote for the SP candidate, but now this hope has been shattered.

Will Ritesh Pandey’s father spoil the game?
Another problem has arisen for Akhilesh. Ritesh Pandey, MP from Bahujan Samaj Party ticket till yesterday, has now joined Bharatiya Janata Party. Pandey was BSP MP from Ambedkar Nagar seat. Now that Ritesh Pandey has joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. The question arises whether his father, Rakesh Pandey, who is an MLA from Samajwadi Party, will vote for SP or can he also do cross voting in the Rajya Sabha elections? If he does cross voting then it will become more difficult for Akhilesh.
