Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of endangering religious places and promoting communal tension and said that the BJP government raises issues like Sambhal and Aurangzeb to hide its failures.
Yadav told reporters after Roza Iftar here that law and order has collapsed in Uttar Pradesh and health and education services are in shambles, but the BJP government raises issues like Sambhal and Aurangzeb to hide its failures. According to a statement issued from the SP headquarters, Yadav has said that law and order has collapsed in the state under the BJP government, murder, robbery and crime are at their peak. He claimed that the morale of the bullies, anarchists and criminals has increased under the protection of the government.
Police was chased and beaten in Shahjahanpur- Akhilesh Yadav
The SP chief, while counting some recent incidents, said that police was chased and beaten in Shahjahanpur, DSP’s house and car were burnt in Bareilly, jail officials are accusing their own officer, complaining against him but no hearing took place, on the contrary, action was taken against the complainant.
Yadav said that the BJP government is making the police do wrong things, is making injustice happen. He said that the BJP has looted the polling booths through the police in the by-elections and it is getting false cases registered against the leaders of opposition parties. Accusing the BJP of misusing the police for its political gain, he said that when the BJP government will make the police do wrong things, then it will have to hide the wrongdoings of the police.
Every religious place is in danger under the BJP rule- Akhilesh Yadav
Yadav claimed, “Gradually, due to the conduct of the BJP, not only mosques but all religious places will be in danger. Even our Kedareshwar temple (in Etawah) has become a problem for them.” He said the BJP objects to efforts by others to build temples. “Even if we build a temple with the support of our people, the BJP has a problem. What should we say in such a situation? Every religious place is in danger under the BJP rule,” he said.
