Supriya Shrinet on PM Modi: Congress has raised questions about the role of US President Donald Trump in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Congress leader Supriya Shrinet said that US President Donald Trump is repeatedly claiming that he brought about a ceasefire between India and Pakistan. She said, “Now not only Trump but Russia also believes that he brought about a ceasefire. This is an attack on India’s sovereignty.”
Pakistan emerging as a hero – Congress
She said, “The silence of the surrendered Prime Minister is screaming that he has brought about a ceasefire under pressure. Pakistan, which was isolated by India before 2014, is now emerging as a hero on the world stage. The Modi government has failed to stop the billions of dollars of aid that Pakistan was receiving from the International Monetary Fund, Asian Development Bank and World Bank.”
‘Big countries are seen standing with Pakistan’
Supriya Shrinet has also expressed concern over the fact that Pakistan has become the vice-chairman of the UN’s anti-terrorism committee, while it itself is a country that gives shelter to terrorism. She said, “Despite the presence of terrorists like Hafiz Saeed, Masood Azhar and before that Osama bin Laden was found there, big countries are seen standing with Pakistan. She raised the question that who is responsible for equating a terrorist country like Pakistan with India?”
‘Russia did not openly give a statement in support of India’
The Congress leader said, “Russia has not yet openly given any concrete statement in support of India, rather it is making a deal of two and a half billion dollars with Pakistan. He also highlighted the growing close relations between China and Pakistan. He said that despite being in power for 11 years and visiting more than 90 countries, Prime Minister Modi’s foreign policy has proved to be a failure, due to which India is completely isolated diplomatically today. He said, “If the foreign policy of the Modi government was right, then all the countries of the world would have stood with us with full readiness.”
‘The delegations that went abroad only got photographed’
Supriya Shrinet said that Indian delegations were sent to various countries, but they could not meet neither the heads of state nor the influential opinion makers. He said, “These delegations only visited museums, watched cultural programs and got photographs taken, but failed to get any concrete statement in favor of India. He said that on May 27, a delegation of Indian MPs reached Kuwait and put forth their side and the very next day Kuwait lifted the visa ban imposed on Pakistan.
‘The terrorist of the Pahalgam attack is still absconding’
The Congress leader said that even after 45 days, the Prime Minister did not bother to meet the people martyred in Pakistan’s shelling in Jammu and Kashmir, while he went everywhere in the country. Now he has reached there for the inauguration program. He said that even after 45 days of the Pahalgam attack, the terrorists are absconding and the Modi government is silent on this. Referring to the action of the Congress government at the time of the 26/11 attack, he said that then nine out of ten terrorists were killed and the tenth one was hanged.
