Suvendu Adhikari: There are around one crore fake voters in Bengal and have demanded correction in voter list, total number of voters is more than seven crore.

Leader of Opposition in West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari says that there are one crore fake voters in the state and their names should be removed from the voter list. Demanding special intensive revision in West Bengal like Bihar, Suvendu Adhikari has pointed out many irregularities in the voter list. Talking to reporters in Howrah, the BJP leader said that there are about one crore Rohingya migrants, Bangladeshi Muslim voters, dead voters, duplicate entries and fake voters in West Bengal. The Election Commission of India should remove these names to ensure the credibility of the voter list.

After Bihar, preparations for special intensive revision have started in West Bengal as well. Assembly elections are to be held here next year. Before this, the Election Commission has sought a list of BLOs from all political parties, so that the process of revision of voter list can be started.

One BLO at every booth
As per the guidelines of the Election Commission, every party has to nominate one person as BLO at every booth. This person should be a voter of the same booth. Apart from election management, the work of the booth level agent will also be related to changes in the voter list. The name of any voter will not be removed without the consent of the BLOs of all the parties. The Election Commission is considering increasing the number of polling booths in the state from 80 thousand to one lakh. If this happens, all the parties will have to prepare 20 thousand new BLOs.

Elections will be held in March next year

Assembly elections in West Bengal can be held in the month of March next year. In the last assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party had done a very aggressive campaign. After this, it was expected that BJP could challenge TMC in the state. However, this did not happen and the Trinamool Congress won the election with a huge majority. This time BJP will try to come to power in the state. At the same time, Mamata Banerjee will once again try to stop the BJP wave.
