CM MK Stalin’s son becomes Deputy CM
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi was made Deputy Chief Minister after a cabinet reshuffle on Saturday. DMK leader Senthil Balaji, who was recently released on bail, will also be made a minister again on Sunday. K Ponmudi has been removed from Higher Education and this department has been given to new minister Chezhiyan, while Rajakannappan has been given the Dairy Development Department. For the last several days, there was speculation that Udhayanidhi Stalin’s stature would be increased in both the DMK party and the government. The way DMK chief M Karunanidhi transferred power to his son MK Stalin, now MK Stalin is also increasing the stature of his son Udhayanidhi Stalin.
Udhayanidhi had rejected these things
Tamil Nadu minister Tha Mo Anbarasan had said on Thursday that Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin is likely to be announced as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu within the next 7 to 10 days. However, on Wednesday, Udhayanidhi Stalin rejected the speculation of him being made the Deputy Chief Minister. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Udhayanidhi had asked, ‘Who said this?’ He said, “The CM will decide this, and you cannot decide on this. All the ministers are and will be with the CM. You will have to ask the CM about this. It is completely the CM’s right to take a decision about this.”
