Telangana: ACB in Hyderabad has registered a case of disproportionate assets against TGSPDCL ADE Ambedkar Erugu and during raids, crores of rupees in cash was recovered from his and his relatives’ houses.

The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Hyderabad, Telangana, has filed a disproportionate assets case against TGSPDCL Assistant Divisional Engineer (ADE) Ambedkar Erugu. Crores of rupees in cash were recovered from his and his relatives’ homes during ACB raids.

Company Formed on 10 Acres of Land
The ACB team’s raids uncovered ₹2.18 crore in cash, a flat, a G+5 building, a company on 10 acres of land, six plots, and farmland documents, along with two four-wheelers, gold jewelry, and bank deposits.

Accused Engineer Produced in Court
Officials said, “The search revealed that the engineer had acquired these movable and immovable properties by abusing his position. The search is still ongoing.” The market value of the properties is significantly higher than their official value. The accused engineer was produced in court and remanded to judicial custody.

Second Largest Disproportionate Assets Case
This is the second major disproportionate assets case detected by the ACB in less than a month. On August 19, the ACB unearthed assets worth over ₹5 crore during a raid on a tehsildar. Officials searched seven locations linked to Bandi Nageshwar Rao, the tehsildar of Warangal Fort division in Warangal district.
