Terrible rain wreaks havoc in UP! IMD’s scary warning, flood-like situation in 35 districts

Monsoon is about to return to full swing in Uttar Pradesh, which can increase the problems of the people. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy to very heavy rains in 35 districts of the state in the next 24 hours.

According to the latest forecast of IMD, moderate to heavy rains may continue in almost all the districts till Sunday, August 17. This news is an alert for those who are planning to go out, because the mood of the weather can change anytime.

It has been raining intermittently since Monday in eastern Uttar Pradesh to Awadh area. Due to the monsoon gaining strength, water is also raining continuously in the western parts. The temperature has dropped due to dense clouds in the sky and strong winds, but due to high humidity, the humid heat is troubling people in many places. Meteorologists say that this situation may persist for the next few days, so keep an umbrella or raincoat with you while leaving the house.

‘Surprise’ of rain on Independence Day!

Heavy rain with strong winds is expected in many parts of the state on Independence Day i.e. August 15. In the next 24 hours, there may be sporadic rain with thunder and lightning in western Uttar Pradesh. There is also a possibility of lightning along with rain in districts like Meerut, Shamli, Saharanpur. At the same time, there may be heavy showers in Agra, Aligarh, Mathura and surrounding areas, which may disrupt the programs. According to IMD, there will be strong winds and rain in most districts of western UP on August 15. Earlier, there is a possibility of intermittent heavy rain till August 14. If you are going to hoist the flag or watch the parade, do not ignore the weather!

‘Danger’ is hidden in the Bay of Bengal!

Dr. Atul Kumar, an expert at the Regional Meteorological Center, says that a low pressure area is still present in the Bay of Bengal, which is making the monsoon stronger. This low pressure area is currently towards Bengal, but may soon pass through Uttar Pradesh. Due to its effect, heavy rains can occur from eastern to western areas. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be intermittent heavy rains in about 75 districts of the state till next Sunday. Heavy rains are also expected in western UP. Cities like Agra, Meerut, Bareilly were partly cloudy on Monday and it rained intermittently, but more heavy rain may start here from Tuesday.

Sudden rain in Lucknow, people breathed a sigh of relief

In the capital Lucknow, the humidity made people miserable due to cloudy weather from morning to afternoon and occasional sunshine. But around 1 pm the clouds became dense and a period of heavy rain started. By 4 pm, it rained intermittently in most parts of the city, which brought down the temperature and brought some relief. It has rained at many places from Gorakhpur to Varanasi and Prayagraj. There are reports of heavy rain from Barabanki, Basti, Gonda to Balrampur, where the roads are flooded with water.

IMD’s latest alert: Be careful on these dates

According to the Lucknow Meteorological Center, from August 10 to August 16, moderate rain and thundershowers may occur at some places. Orange and yellow alerts have been issued for many areas from the 12th. The effect of rain can be seen in Meerut, Baghpat, Shamli, Bijnor, Ghaziabad, Badaun, Sambhal, Aligarh, Kanpur, Unnao, Lucknow, Mainpuri, Firozabad, Etawah, Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Mirzapur and Azamgarh and surrounding districts. If you live in these areas, be prepared to avoid floods or waterlogging. The Meteorological Department advises to stay away from vulnerable places and go out only for essential work.
