The central government has banned 10-minute deliveries by quick commerce platforms. Now, platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy, Zomato, Flipkart, and Amazon will not be able to deliver within 10 minutes. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Raghav Chadha seemed very happy with this decision. Thanking the central government, he said, “Truth alone triumphs, together, we have won.”

It is worth noting that Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has banned the 10-minute delivery service. He held a meeting with major platforms like Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy, and Zomato, where they were advised to remove the strict delivery timelines. All the companies have also assured the government on this matter.

Raghav Chadha welcomes the central government’s decision

Raghav Chadha said that he is grateful to the central government for taking immediate action and deciding to remove the 10-minute delivery branding. The AAP MP posted on his X handle, “I am deeply grateful to the Central Government for taking timely, decisive, and compassionate action to remove the “10-minute delivery” branding from quick-commerce platforms.

This was a much-needed step because the pressure and danger are immense when “10 minutes” is written on the rider’s t-shirt, jacket, or bag, and a timer is running on the customer’s screen. This step will help ensure the safety of delivery riders and everyone on our roads.”

A big relief for gig workers

Welcoming this victory, he said that in the past months, he had spoken to hundreds of delivery partners. Many of them were overworked, underpaid, and risking their lives to fulfill unrealistic promises. This decision of the central government will ensure the safety of riders and ordinary people on the roads. He thanked every citizen who stood up for human life, safety, and dignity. This step is a big relief for gig workers. He also told every gig worker, “You are not alone, we are all with you.”

Raghav Chadha took to the streets with Blinkit delivery boys.

Meanwhile, let us tell you that a video of MP Raghav Chadha was going viral on social media just a day earlier. In the video, you can see that Raghav Chadha is dressed like a Blinkit delivery boy. He is seen riding a scooter and delivering goods. In this video, he was wearing the uniform and riding a scooter to understand the difficulties faced by delivery partners. He delivered goods to people just like a delivery boy.
