The condition of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, president of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, is critical. His health suddenly deteriorated this morning (January 21), after which he was taken to Shri Ram Hospital in Ayodhya. From there, he was referred to Medanta Hospital in Lucknow. Nritya Gopal Das is currently undergoing treatment in the ICU. Medanta Hospital stated that Nritya Gopal Das had not been drinking water or eating properly for the past 4-5 days.
Brought to the hospital in an unconscious state – Medanta
Medanta Hospital reported that on the evening of January 21, at 3 PM, he was brought to the emergency room of Medanta Hospital in an unconscious state, suffering from an intestinal infection (diarrhea). He was admitted to the ICU through the emergency department of Medanta Hospital. Medanta Hospital has formed a team of expert doctors, including Dr. Dilip Dubey, Dr. Abhay Verma (Gastroenterologist), and Dr. Rakesh Kapoor (Urologist), under whose care the Mahant is being treated.
Suffering from urinary problems since 2019
The 86-year-old Mahant Nritya Gopal Das has been suffering from urinary problems and illnesses related to difficulty in eating since 2019. In the past years, he has been admitted to Medanta Hospital several times. Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is the head of the Mani Ram Das ki Chhavni temple and the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas.
Born on June 11, 1938, in Mathura
After the demolition of the Babri Masjid, the Vishva Hindu Parishad established the Ram Janmabhoomi Nyas in January 1993. This trust is overseeing the construction of the Ram Temple.
