Dense to very dense fog is expected during the night and morning hours in parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh (until the 23rd) and in parts of Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, and northern Madhya Pradesh (until the 22nd). Dense fog is also likely in the interior areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha until December 24th.

According to the IMD, a blizzard with heavy rain/snowfall is likely at isolated places in the higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir-Ladakh and northeastern Himachal Pradesh during the next 24 hours. Dense to very dense fog is likely during the night/morning hours in some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh until December 23rd, and dense fog is likely during the night/morning hours in Punjab, Haryana, western Uttar Pradesh, and northern Madhya Pradesh until December 22nd. Dense fog is also likely in the interior areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha until December 24th.

Cold Wave Alert in Bihar and Uttarakhand
Cold day conditions are likely in some parts of Uttarakhand on December 22nd, and in some parts of Jharkhand, Punjab, Haryana, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh on December 22nd and 23rd. There is no significant change expected in minimum temperatures over Northwest India, except Uttar Pradesh, during the next two days, and a gradual fall of 3-5 degrees Celsius is expected thereafter over the next three days.

Relief in Uttar Pradesh for 3 Days
Minimum temperatures in Uttar Pradesh are likely to gradually rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next three days, followed by a fall of 3-5 degrees Celsius over the subsequent four days. There is no significant change expected in minimum temperatures over East India during the next three days, and a gradual fall of 2-3 degrees Celsius is expected thereafter over the subsequent four days. Minimum temperatures in Maharashtra are likely to gradually rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius over the next two days, with no significant change thereafter.

Weather expected to remain normal in Gujarat.
There will be no significant change in minimum temperatures over the Gujarat region during the next 2 days, followed by a gradual fall of 2-3 degrees over the next 3 days, after which there will be no significant change in minimum temperatures. There will be no significant change in minimum temperatures over the rest of the country during the next 7 days.
