The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two wanted suspects linked to the terror group ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant or Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) module in Pune. Abdul Faiz Shaikh (alias “Diaperwala”) and Talha Liaquat Khan are accused of making IEDs in a rented house. Both Abdul and Talha were in the news in 2023 for making and testing IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices) in the Kondhwa area of Pune.
According to the National Investigation Agency, these suspected accused had manufactured explosives in a rented house. During this time, both of them also organized a bomb-making workshop here. During the workshop, both of them also tested the IED by conducting a controlled explosion, after which the Pune Police also suspected both of them in this case, since then both of them had absconded.
Both of them had a reward of Rs 3 lakh on their head
Earlier also, the National Investigation Agency had announced a reward of Rs 3 lakh for those who provide information about these two. Now after the arrest of these two, the National Investigation Agency is interrogating them so that they can get more information about their other networks and possible terrorist plans. This action taken by the National Investigation Agency after the arrest of wanted suspected criminals Abdul and Talha can be an important step towards eliminating the terrorist module associated with ISIS in the country.
Other youths are also on the radar of the police
When we contacted the family members of these two regarding the arrest of Abdul and Talha and tried to find out more information in this matter, the families of these two refused to talk to the media.
