A two-day workshop of MPs of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will begin today in the Parliament premises. This workshop will start at 11 am today. PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda will also participate in it. During this time, PM Modi will also be congratulated and thanked for GST 2.0.
There will be four sessions for MPs in this workshop. The first session will be on Aatmanirbhar Bharat, Swadeshi Bharat, Ease of Doing Business and Youth Power and Employment. The second session has been organized on the effective use of social media by MPs. The third session will be of groups of the Standing Committee of MPs. In this, there will be discussion with MPs according to the parliamentary committees of different ministries.
Behavior and caution as an MP
The importance of parliamentary committee proceedings, preparation for the Parliament session, use of parliamentary rules, study of ministry reports, information about subordinate legislation, behavior and caution as an MP, participation in Disha meetings etc. will be discussed. In the fourth session, there will be discussion about the maritime region, left wing region, rural area, urban area and hilly and north-east region.
Training on Vice Presidential Election
PM Surya Ghar Yojana, TB Free India, MPs Sports, Tiffin Baithak and innovation of activism in parliamentary constituencies will be discussed. On Monday, MPs will be given training on Vice Presidential Election. Along with this, MPs will also be told about the process of Vice Presidential Election, way of voting, precautions of voting etc.
Changes in GST will reduce the burden of people
In the Vice Presidential Election, there is a direct contest between BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate CP Radhakrishnan and opposition candidate and retired Supreme Court judge B. Sudarshan Reddy. However, Radhakrishnan seems to be ahead in terms of numbers. BJP says that changes in GST will reduce the tax burden on people and will give impetus to the economy.
Fall in prices of many commodities
BJP and its allies hope that the positive sentiment among people regarding the fall in prices of many commodities will help them in the Bihar Assembly Elections. Elections are expected to be held in Bihar in November. The BJP workshop will have multiple sessions on the history and evolution of the party as well as efficiency-enhancing lessons for MPs.
