Following Hamas’s violation of the US-brokered ceasefire agreement, Israel again attacked Gaza, killing nine people. The IDF stated that this attack occurred after Prime Minister Netanyahu instructed the Israeli military to immediately launch an attack in the Gaza Strip.

According to a report, Israel had informed the US of its decision to launch the attack in Gaza. A military official said that Hamas fighters attacked Israeli forces first.

Hamas will pay a heavy price

Another attack in the southern city of Khan Younis killed five people, including two children and a woman. Meanwhile, Dr. Mohammed Abu Salmiya, director of Al Shifa Hospital, said that at least three explosions were heard near the medical facility in northern Gaza.

Accusation of Misidentification of Body
Israel has also accused Shama of misidentifying the remains of a recently returned detainee as belonging to a kidnapped man whose body was recovered two years ago. Netanyahu said he is deciding on next steps after Hamas returns the remains of the previously recovered detainee.
