Washington: Business companies have had to suffer the effects of the strain in relations between America and Iran. The US has banned more than a dozen companies, individuals and ships for illegal trade and supply of unmanned vehicles on behalf of the Iranian military. The US Treasury Department said that these companies, individuals and ships have played a key role in the secret sale of Iranian unmanned vehicles in the war waged by Russia in Ukraine.
Ban imposed on these Indian companies
Sahara Thunder has been identified as the key lead company that oversees Iran’s commercial activities in support of these efforts. The three Indian companies that have been banned for providing support to Sahara Thunder are Jane Shipping, Port India Private Limited and Sea Art Ship Management Private Limited. The US Treasury Department said Sahara Thunder relies on a vast shipping network, involved in the sale and shipment of Iranian goods to China, Russia, Venezuela and several other countries on behalf of Iran’s Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics.
What did the Finance Department say?
Sahara Thunder has used CHEM to conduct several shipments of commodities from 2022, the Finance Department said. Iran-based Arsang Safe Trading Company has provided ship management services to support several shipments associated with Sahara Thunder. Accordingly, Iran’s Asia Marine crown agency has acted as port agent in Bandar Abbas, Iran, supporting several shipments of Sahara Thunder.
Ban on companies from China and Belarus
Recently, America had banned three Chinese companies for providing equipment to Pakistan for its ballistic missile program. Along with this, a company from Belarus was also banned. Giving information from the US State Department, it was said that China is accused of providing help to Pakistan in making ballistic missiles. Therefore, action has been taken to ban Chinese companies.
The officer had said this
Let us tell you that recently, US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel had said that I want to say broadly that we urge anyone who wants to do business with Iran to be aware of the possible risk of sanctions. Recommend.
