TMC MPs exposing Pakistan in Jakarta
Addressing a press conference in Jakarta, Abhishek Banerjee blamed Pakistan for supporting and nurturing terrorists to destabilise growing economies. He referred to the involvement of Pakistan-based terrorists in the 9/11 attacks, 26/11 Mumbai attacks and 2006 Bombay train bombings and said that if terrorism is a mad dog, then Pakistan is its evil handler.
‘India has become the fourth largest economy in the world’
Banerjee said India waited for two weeks before launching Operation Sindoor to see whether Pakistan would take action against the terrorists. He also recalled how India had allowed Pakistani officials to visit the IAF base in Pathankot to probe the Pathankot terror attack. He said they (Pakistan) are the people who have been nurturing terrorists in their backyard to destabilise growing economies. All of you are familiar with the fact that India has overtaken Japan and has become the fourth largest economy in the world.
‘Very soon we will be number three’
He said, we are number four right now but very soon we will be number three. Pakistan is facing a crisis in its economy, trying to solve issues on its own land, in its own country. India is growing rapidly, developing and we are cooperating with different countries. We consider each of you as our strategic partners, our friendly nations.
‘Will not let political interests come in the way of our national interest’
Earlier in Singapore, Abhishek Banerjee had said that I may disagree with the ruling party or political party, I will fight them with all my might. But when it comes to my country’s national security, I will stand firm and work for the best interest of my country. I will not let my political interests come in the way of my national interest.
