The properties of former Pakistan President and Army Chief General Pervez Musharraf are going to be auctioned. The auction of these properties will take place today afternoon in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. Apart from Musharraf, the properties of 40 other people located in other districts of UP will also be auctioned. All these people had left India and gone to Pakistan at the time of partition of the country. At that time, their properties were declared enemy properties by the Government of India.
At present, there are a total of 5974 enemy properties in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. At present, all these enemy properties are under the Home Ministry of the Government of India. The auction process is also being done under the supervision of the Government of India. For this, the Government of India had issued a notification a few days ago. According to this notification, a total of 49 enemy properties will be auctioned today. Out of these, 41 properties are in Uttar Pradesh. One of these properties is the ancestral mansion of former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf located in Kotana of Baghpat district and some land.
Even after moving to Delhi, the family was connected to the village
Musharraf’s father Musharrafuddin and mother Begum Zarin used to live in Kotana village. However, later they started living in Old Delhi. According to the people living in this village, Musharraf’s father remained connected to the village even after moving from here to Delhi. However, when his entire family moved to Pakistan, there was no one to look after these properties. According to the villagers, at the time of partition, Nooru Mian of Musharraf’s family refused to go to Pakistan.
The country is still bearing the brunt of partition
However, after living in India for 18 years, he also left the country and went to Pakistan. Let us tell you that Musharraf and his family have properties not only in Baghpat but also in the Old Delhi area of the country’s capital Delhi. This property is also in the form of a mansion. At the time of independence in 1947, the country was divided into two parts. At the time of that partition, many people left India and went to Pakistan. In such a situation, all his immovable properties were identified by the Government of India and declared as enemy property.
