Today another milestone has been added to India’s space history. After spending 18 days in the International Space Station (ISS), Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla is about to return to Earth. The undocking of the Dragon spacecraft from the International Space Station was successful. Shubhanshu Shukla and his entire team have flown to Earth. During the space mission, Shubhanshu did science activities on the space station, participated in 7 experiments of Indian Education Institutes and 5 experiments of NASA. These experiments of Shubhanshu will help India’s Gaganyaan mission. Along with this, Shubhanshu saw the earth in different ways from the 7 observation windows of the Cupola module of the space station and collected information. Shubhanshu also spoke to Prime Minister Modi on video call from the International Space Station itself. Shubhanshu Shukla talked to PM Modi about the grand India visible from space. Also told about seeing 16 sunrises and 16 sunsets in a day. ‘Never thought our son would touch such heights’
Shubhshu’s father Shambhu Dayal Shukla said, “We are very happy and excited and ready to welcome him. We are very proud of our son. It is a matter of good fortune for us that his mission is complete. We never thought our son would touch such heights… It is a matter of pride for our country and countrymen. I thank all those who prayed for our son.

When will the Dragon spacecraft land?
The undocking of the Dragon spacecraft from the International Space Station was successful. Shubhanshu Shukla and his entire team have taken off for Earth. The Dragon spacecraft will land on the coast of California on Tuesday, July 15 at 3:00 pm IST.

The Dragon spacecraft has separated from the International Space Station (ISS). The thruster firing in it has been nominal, due to which Grace has moved away from the space station. Commander Peggy Whitson thanked the crew of the space station for their cooperation in the X-4 mission.

Dragon Spacecraft’s ‘undocking’ process begins

Under the Axium-4 mission, India’s Shubhanshu Shukla left for ISS on June 25 from Florida’s Kennedy Space Center on a Falcon 9 rocket. Shubhanshu reached ISS on June 26 after a 28-hour journey on the Dragon spacecraft. Now Shumbhashu and his companions will splash down in the California sea tomorrow.
