Today, PM Modi will formally inaugurate the ‘India AI Impact Expo 2026’ at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, in the capital Delhi at 5 pm on Monday.

New Delhi: The mega event of Artificial Intelligence is about to begin in the capital, Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will formally inaugurate the “India AI Impact Expo 2026” at the Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, at 5 pm today. The India AI Impact Summit will run from February 16th to 20th. This expo is set to be the largest platform for global collaboration and innovation in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) issued a statement stating that the “India AI Impact Expo 2026” will be held alongside the “India AI Impact Summit” at the Bharat Mandapam from February 16th to 20th. This expo will be a national platform for practical demonstrations of AI, where policy meets practice, innovation is implemented widely, and technology reaches the common citizen.

Gathering of global luminaries
The grandeur of this event can be gauged from the fact that presidents from seven countries, vice presidents from two countries, and prime ministers from nine countries are attending. Additionally, CEOs of the world’s leading tech companies and over 200,000 international delegates will participate. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), over 2.5 million visitors are expected throughout the five-day event.

The expo will be held across 10 arenas spanning over 70,000 square meters, bringing together global technology companies, startups, academia and research institutes, central ministries, state governments, and international partners. Pavilions from 13 countries will showcase international collaboration in AI systems. These include pavilions from Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan, and Africa. The expo will feature over 300 featured exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations, organized around three key themes: People, Planet, and Growth.

Over 600 Startups
The expo will feature over 600 high-potential startups, many of which are developing globally relevant and population-level solutions. These startups will showcase relevant solutions that are already in real-world use. The India AI Impact Expo 2026 is expected to attract over 2.5 million visitors, including international delegates. The event aims to foster new partnerships and create business opportunities within the global AI ecosystem.

Over 500 Sessions
Over 500 sessions will be held, featuring over 3,250 visionary speakers and panelists. The primary objective of these sessions will be to acknowledge the transformative impact of AI in various sectors and to deliberate on future actions to ensure that AI benefits every global citizen.

Over 10,000 police personnel have been deployed across the city for the event. Strict surveillance is being maintained around the venue. Anti-drone systems have been installed, along with a robust air defense system capable of detecting and neutralizing any drone. The venue will be monitored by over 500 CCTV cameras.

The expo will open to all from February 17th.

Entry to the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ will be restricted on the first day of the event, and the accompanying exhibition will open to all from February 17th. The advisory stated, “The Bharat Mandapam exhibition area will be closed on February 16th (opening at 5 p.m.) and the exhibition will open to all from February 17th.” The expo will also feature pavilions from 13 countries showcasing international collaboration in the AI ​​field.
