According to the Meteorological Department, Typhoon Kalmaegi passed through the Linapacan area of Palawan Province early Wednesday morning (November 5, 2025). Winds reached 120 kilometers per hour, with gusts reaching 150 kilometers per hour. The storm ripped off the roofs of hundreds of homes and knocked out power. Weather experts said the storm is now moving toward the South China Sea.
Rescue Operations Continue
Government and military teams are conducting rescue operations in the affected areas. Navy ships and helicopters are being used to deliver food, water, and medicine. Local authorities have warned that several areas are at risk of landslides within the next 24 hours.
