Metropolitan Police issued a statement

The Metropolitan Police issued a statement saying that on May 12 at 1.35 am, the London Fire Brigade informed the police about the fire. After this, the officers reached the spot, which was brought under control within half an hour. As a precaution, the Met Police’s Counter Terrorism Command will now investigate it. This was done keeping in mind the Prime Minister’s former high-profile contacts and public position.
