Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, who is on a day-long visit to Maharashtra, offered prayers at the Sai Baba Temple in Shirdi on Sunday. Shah was accompanied by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar, among others. Amit Shah arrived at the Shirdi temple town in Ahilyanagar district on Saturday night. Shah also addressed a farmers’ rally in Ahilyanagar district.
Sugar Cooperative Sector Has Benefited Significantly
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday that India’s sugar cooperative sector has benefited significantly since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister. He was addressing a farmers’ rally after inaugurating the expanded capacity of the Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Cooperative Sugar Factory in Ahilyanagar district. Amit Shah appealed to sugar cooperatives to produce multi-feed ethanol even during the non-crushing season.
Changed Economic Situation
Amit Shah said, “The economic situation of sugar cooperatives has changed due to ethanol blending. The sector has benefited since PM Modi became Prime Minister. Shah said, “The central government will provide all possible assistance to Maharashtra farmers affected by the recent heavy rains.”
Balasaheb Vikhe Patil statues unveiled
Union Home Minister Amit Shah praised Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar for securing central assistance for the state’s farmers. Shah also unveiled statues of Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, a prominent figure in the cooperative movement, and his son, former Union Minister Balasaheb Vikhe Patil.
