Uttar Pradesh ATS (Anti-Terrorist Squad) has arrested a person in Lucknow, who was sending intelligence information to a Pakistani agent. The accused person was posted as a chargeman in Firozabad Ordnance Factory. UP ATS was getting information for some days that handlers of Pakistani intelligence agency are in contact with other employees of the Ministry of External Affairs and Government of India by changing their names. These people are luring Indian employees and asking for confidential information and documents related to Indian Army and other government organizations by luring them with money.
If the intelligence information reaches Pakistan, there can be a big threat to India’s security. After thorough investigation by UP ATS, it was found that a person named Ravindra Kumar, who is posted as a chargeman in Ordnance Factory Hazratpur, Firozabad, used to send sensitive and confidential information to a Pakistani agent who became his friend through Facebook.
Arrested after interrogation
After initial interrogation of Ravindra Kumar, ATS had called him to Lucknow headquarters for intensive interrogation. Here sensitive confidential documents sent to Pakistani agent were found in his phone. After this he was arrested. During interrogation, Ravindra Kumar told that he has been working in Ordnance Factory since the year 2006 and Ordnance Factory Hazratpur Firozabad since the year 2009. He is currently on the post of Chargeman. In June-July of the year 2024, he became friends with a girl named Neha Sharma (Pakistani agent/handler) through Facebook, with whom he often used to do WhatsApp chatting, audio calls and video calls, used to talk about love and used to send confidential information of his Ordnance Factory in the greed of becoming rich.
Ravindra Kumar told that he often deleted WhatsApp chats but some chats and confidential documents remained in the phone. After this, ATS registered a case under section 148 of BNS and arrested the accused Ravindra Kumar. Police said that the accused will be presented before the honorable court as per the rules and further legal action will be taken.
