UP: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who reached Gorakhpur, has said that extensive preparations should be started from now to celebrate the 11th edition of World Yoga Day on June 21 in a grand manner. A big and best venue should be identified as soon as possible for the main event in the district.

CM Yogi was holding a meeting with officials at Gorakhnath temple on Thursday evening. During this, he reviewed the development works, law and order, upcoming festivals and proposed events and gave necessary instructions to the officers. Regarding the World Yoga Day to be celebrated on June 21, he said that the main program of Yoga Day, in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate, should be ensured to be broadcast live at all major places. A public awareness campaign should be run to connect more and more citizens with Yoga Day.

The Chief Minister inquired about the preparations of the administration and police regarding the festival of Bakrid. CM Yogi said that there should be no laxity at any level in conducting the festival of Bakrid on June 7 in a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere. Sacrifice on Bakrid should be done only at pre-determined places and the ban on the sacrifice of banned animals should be strictly enforced.

Namaz should be done only at traditional places

CM Yogi said that along with proper cleanliness arrangements on the festival, there should be a well-planned system for waste disposal after the sacrifice. The Chief Minister directed that Namaz should be done only at traditional places. Namaz should not be allowed by blocking the road. He said that faith should be respected on every festival but new traditions should not be allowed.

Reviewing the updated status of development projects, CM Yogi said that it should be ensured that all the projects are completed with quality in the stipulated time. Some constructions start getting affected when the rains start, so there is a need to speed up the work here before the onset of monsoon. After taking information about the work done so far to solve the problem of waterlogging, the Chief Minister said that it should be ensured that there is no waterlogging anywhere when it rains.

Complete cleaning of all drains should be completed in time

CM Yogi said that a lot of good work has been done in the last few years to solve the problem of waterlogging, it needs to be continuously taken towards excellence. Along with giving instructions to complete the complete cleaning of all drains in time, CM Yogi said that to solve the problem of waterlogging, serious attention should be given to the Godhdhoiya Nala project and efforts should be made to complete it soon.

While reviewing the law and order, CM Yogi said that zero tolerance policy towards crime and criminals should remain intact. The sequence of strict action against mafia and criminals should not stop. There is a need to take every small incident seriously and take action on it.
