UP: Due to non-payment of Lucknow Municipal Corporation electricity of Municipal Corporation parking was cut off, heavy burden of electricity bill is Rs 68 lakh, department will take action

Lucknow: In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh and the city of Nawabs, the Municipal Corporation has not been able to pay the electricity bill for several months. Even after giving notice for several months, when the Municipal Corporation did not pay the electricity bill, the electricity of Multi-Level Parking, Daya Nidhan Park and Jhandi Park was cut off on Friday (30 August). Due to the power cut, the people who parked their vehicles had to face a lot of trouble. Similarly, a few days ago, the electricity connection was cut off in a premises of the Municipal Corporation by the Electricity Department. Due to which people had to face a lot of problems.

Seeing the matter escalating, the Municipal Corporation officials talked to the engineers of the Electricity Department and asked for two to three days to deposit the bill. After this, the electricity connection was connected late at night by the Electricity Department. Let us tell you that the officials of the Electricity Department said that similarly, the electricity bill of the Municipal Corporation headquarters located in Lalbagh and the office located in Janpath is also pending. In such a situation, action is being taken against them by the Electricity Department. At the same time, the officials also told that the Municipal Corporation has a total electricity bill of Rs 68 lakh pending.

What did the officials say about the electricity bill

Aminabad’s Executive Engineer Sushil Kumar said that the connection of Aminabad parking was cut off several days ago due to the outstanding bill of Rs 4 lakh 15 thousand. Similarly, many premises of the Municipal Corporation have not deposited the bill. Let us tell you that the list released by the Electricity Department includes the names of Jhandi Park Parking, Lalbagh, Multilevel Parking, Hazratganj, Municipal Corporation Headquarters, Daya Nidhan Park, Lalbagh, Janpath Market (Garbage House), Sarojini Naidu Parking, Aminabad Parking, Jhandi Park, Multilevel, Dawa Nidhan and Aminabad Parking.
