UP: During shunting of Lucknow-Barauni Express at Barauni Junction, the shunt man got stuck between the engine and the coach due to the engine going backwards and died

A big negligence of the railway has come to light at Barauni Junction under Sonpur Railway Division of Bihar. Here in Begusarai, an employee had to lose his life due to negligence. The matter is of platform number-5 of Barauni Junction. Here a shunt man died on the spot during the shunting of 15204 Lucknow-Barauni Express coming from Lucknow Junction to Barauni. After this incident, the railway has ordered an inquiry.

The deceased shunt man has been identified as Amar Kumar Rao. While opening the coupling of Lucknow-Barauni Express, the shunt man Amar Kumar got stuck in the train’s engine due to it moving backwards. Amar Kumar died on the spot after getting stuck between the engine and the coach.

Driver ran away leaving the train
When the driver was warned about the engine moving backwards during coupling, he allegedly ran away leaving the engine. He had the opportunity to stop and move the engine forward by applying brakes. If this had happened, the accident could have been stopped. Even after the accident, the shunter could have been taken to the hospital and his life could have been saved, but due to the driver running away, the shunter could not be taken out and he died on the track itself.

The government has been on the target of the opposition regarding rail accidents
