UP Lok Sabha Election 2024: Samajwadi Party is aiming to get more than 40 percent votes in Uttar Pradesh during the Lok Sabha elections. SP aims to follow exactly the same path as the Bharatiya Janata Party, which is trying to reach more than 40 percent of the votes in the state. For this goal, Samajwadi Party leaders and workers are engaged in a mega campaign to contact two crore PDA families in two months. This campaign, which started in March, is continuing with full vigor and is being intensified phase wise.

Voters associated with PDA are the biggest targets of this campaign. They are being specially contacted and informed about the party’s policies regarding caste census, social justice and reservation. In the last assembly elections, SP got about 32 percent votes. It got an increase of about 10 percent votes compared to 2017. In the year 2017, SP’s vote share was only 21.8 percent.

Campaign to connect voters at micro level
Now, with the aim of increasing it by about ten percent, Samajwadi Party is engaged in the campaign to connect voters at the micro level and that is why it is laying maximum emphasis on booth management. For this purpose, the party has formed a team of 8-10 people from backward, Dalit and minority communities and started working at the booth level. At every booth, a team of ten people belonging to PDA cadre is engaged in the campaign to connect voters.

The party has also started preparations at the block level. Recently the system of block unit has been restored in the party. Till now, only booth and sector in-charges had special roles in the party. In the party, a sector has been created for 10-12 booths and a zone for seven-eight sectors. Earlier, Samajwadi Party had also launched a booth verification campaign under which verification of voter lists, booths, polling stations etc. and investigation of irregularities was conducted.
