A case similar to the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case of Indore has come to light from Siddharthnagar district of UP. Here a woman killed her husband after 18 years of marriage with her lover. Not only this, to hide her crime, she threw the body of her husband in Rapti river in Balrampur district and then filed a missing report of her husband.
What is the whole matter?
The whole matter is of Nazargarhwa village of Dhebaruwa police station area of the district. Kannan, who lives here, married Sangeeta, a resident of Delhi, 18 years ago. Both of them lived in a separate house in the village. Meanwhile, about 2 years ago, while going to Delhi, Kannan’s wife Sangeeta became friends with Anil Shukla, a resident of Balrampur. Both exchanged mobile numbers and started talking. Gradually, love blossomed and Anil started coming to the village to meet her in between. Sangeeta told people that her lover Anil is her aunt’s son, so no one even suspected.
Skeleton found in Balrampur
Meanwhile, on 2 June 2025, Kannan suddenly went missing. On 5 June, his wife Sangeeta went to Dhebaruwa police station and filed a missing report of her husband, after which the police started the investigation. Meanwhile, on 9 June, Kannan’s brother Babulal inquired around and found out that on 2 June, the husband and wife had gone from the village together. On getting this information, Babulal went to the police station and said that the role of his wife in his brother’s disappearance was suspicious. After this, when the police caught Sangeeta and interrogated her strictly, Sangeeta told that she, along with her lover Anil Shukla, had poisoned her husband on the way and thrown him into the Rapti river. On the indication of the wife, the police reached the spot and recovered Kannan’s skeleton, which has been confirmed by the family members.
What did the police say?
Regarding this entire case, Shohratgarh’s CO Sujit Rai said, on June 5, Sangeeta of Nazargarhwa village filed a missing report of her husband, during the investigation of which it was found that the wife was having an affair with someone. On this information, when Sangeeta was strictly questioned, she told that near Semrahna village in Balrampur, she had given poisonous substance to her husband and thrown him into the river from the bridge. On June 10, her husband’s skeleton was recovered from the place mentioned by her. The family members have identified it. Both the accused have been taken into custody and legal action is being taken.
